  1. Rain on me –  Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande
    The song is described by Gaga as a “celebration of tears,” and it is about being able to keep going despite the hardships of life. The song was written by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. It is included in Gaga’s sixth studio album, Chromatica (2020).
  2. WAP – Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion
    The song was released through Atlantic Records in the summer of 2020. It is a hip hop song and received a lot of criticism. In the lyrics, Cardi and Megan discuss how they want men to please them, using several sexual innuendos.

The track was met with critical acclaim, with praise for Beyoncé and Megan’s chemistry. The remix reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 26, 2020.

Throughout the song, the Weeknd sings about the rekindling of a relationship and the importance of his partner.
  7. Fire – Waxahatchee
    On the lead single from her fifth album, Katie Crutchfield sings in an unusually high register. The song says: “That’s what I wanted. It’s not as if we cry a river, call it rain. West Memphis is on fire in the light of day. Give me something, it ain’t enough. It ain’t enough”. The song makes the listeners feel nostalgia. The official video of the song has more 330.000 views on YouTube.
  8. Physical – Dua Lipa
    It is a song by English singer Dua Lipa from her second studio album, Future Nostalgia (2020). “Physical” reached number one in Bulgaria, Croatia, Israel, Lebanon, and Poland, and peaked in the top 10 of 17 additional countries, including the UK Singles Chart, where it peaked at number three. The song was inspired by 1980s music and the 1983 film Flashdance. The official video of “Physical” has almost 232 million views on YouTube.
  9. On the Floor – Perfume Genius
    Michael Alden Hadreas better known by his stage name Perfume Genius, is an American singer who released on March 16, 2020 the single “On the Floor”. The song was included on his album, Set My Heart on Fire Immediately, released on May 15, 2020. The song says: “i’m trying, but still i close my eyes, the dreaming, brining his face to mine, lock the door, the constant buzzing , all through the night, the fight it, rips me all up inside, on the floor”. The official vide of the song has more than 430.000 views on YouTube.
  10. XS – Rina Sawayama
    It is a song by Japanese-British singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama, released on March 2, 2020. The song criticises capitalism in the face of climate change over a pop, R&B, avant-pop and rock soundscape. The music video for “XS” was uploaded on YouTube on 17 April 2020. Now has more than 5 million views on YouTube.
