The polite email signup formHi Product Hunters 😻😻😻

Long-time indie maker here with my latest project: Polite Pop. Polite Pop is a small, polite pop-in message that asks your website visitors to subscribe to your email list. It’s pleasant and unobtrusive, so people enjoy it and genuinely want to see what you offer. This is, by far, my most exciting product launch! 🚀

I built the first version 2 years ago and, while it got a lot of traction, it still suffered from the main problem most email capture tools have: it was a popup. 🤮 Even I got annoyed by using it on my own websites…

So I rethought everything from scratch and pivoted to a much more polite approach.

The feedback changed — a dozen beta testers signed up within weeks, and, before long, I started getting dozens of glowing testimonials.

Here’s what one of them has to say:

“As a UX designer I’ve always been wary of popups appearing out of nowhere and disrupting a visitor’s experience. “I love that Polite Pop helps you give visitors a gentle nudge that sparks curiosity instead of annoying them for the sake of a potential conversion.” — Daniela, CtrlAlt.CC

Here’s what it can do:

🖖 Collect leads politely, without using annoying popups 👀 Make sure visitors are engaged before asking for their email 💌 Build a high-quality email list that wants to hear from you

⚙️ Features

🧠 Uses smart engagement signals 🙈 Doesn’t obstruct content 🙌 Puts the choice in visitors’ hands ⏳ Waits before appearing again 🌈 Connects to your email platform (ConvertKit or Mailchimp) ⚙️ Easy to customize 🐇 Optimized to be fast and lightweight 📱 (soon) Mobile support

The journey of building this product has been long and challenging, but inspiring and rewarding. I’m so grateful to be an indie maker.
