7月1日，世预赛亚洲区12强赛抽签举行，中国队分在B组。同组对手是日本、澳大利亚、沙特、阿曼、越南。国足队长吴曦接受了采访。
“赛程的分析和准备更多是教练组去考虑，我们球员更多就是把身体保护好，我们球员就是了解相同位置的球员，教练组可能会给我们更多的信息，我们去根据信息去做更多的准备。”
每一场比赛都是决赛，应该有50%的几率吧，我还是从足球本身去看待，我们要把每一场比赛去当做决赛踢，球迷媒体说的上上签都是很肤浅的说法，还是要回归足球本身。
