持续的COVID-19大流行无疑揭示了美国医疗系统中的语言问题——英语水平有限（limited English proficiency）的人往往被抛之脑后，与那些英语水平好的人相比，前者的健康状况更糟糕。从差劲的公共健康交流到医院翻译的匮乏——虽然它们已经存在了很长时间——但新冠大流行病显然加剧了这些问题。
