Microsoft Edge 加入了儿童模式，让父母能更容易的控制儿童的上网冲浪行为。父母可选择两个版本，其一适合于 5 到 8 岁儿童，其二适合于 9 到 12 岁儿童。两个版本都启用了 Edge 和 Bing SafeSearch 最严格的隐私安全保护，默认过滤掉成人文字、图像和视频。两个版本的唯一区别是较大年龄组的版本包含了一个新闻源，提供了 MSN for Kids 的精选文章。微软称该新闻源不提供突发新闻或政治类新闻，而是提供对儿童友好的趣味科学和动物主题。儿童模式限制了儿童能访问的网站，一开始只允许访问约 70 个网站，其它允许的网站需要单独添加到可访问列表中。如果儿童想要访问不在列表中的网站，他们需要获得父母的许可。
