The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra Leaks and It's Absurd How Cool It Is

It has a selfie screen on the back and an impressive camera system.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is one of the best values in the smartphone space. Still, it looks like Xiaomi isn't content to sit back and enjoy the success of its Snapdragon 888-toting flagship, as a new leak suggests that the company is working on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Is Official With Snapdragon 888, 120Hz Screen

The phone is packing some pretty serious specs including a 108MP camera.

If the leak, which comes from YouTuber Tech Buff PH (h/t XDA Developers), is accurate, it looks like a rather exciting device.

While we can't verify that the phone is legitimate, it does appear to have all of the things we'd expect to see from the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. It has the model number M2102K1G, which was recently certified by India’s BIS and the EU’s EEC Cryptographic Device Database.

What Is the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra?

As you can see in the image above, the phone's back is what really stands out. Not only does it have a cool-looking triple camera setup, but it also features a small screen on the back that can be used for taking selfies with the impressive rear cameras instead of using the inferior front camera (though the phone still features a 20MP sensor in a hole-punch cutout on the front).

The leak also shows the text "120X" on the back of the device, which could mean that it brings 120X zoom to the table. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra also had that same level of zoom, making sense for Xiaomi to bring that same technology to the Ultra version of the Mi 11. The leak also says that the phone will feature a 50MP primary camera, 48MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 48MP periscope lens on the back.

Apparently, there's an impressive 5,000mAh battery keeping the powerful phone up and running. It'll also have 67W wired charging, 67W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging, which is about as good as it gets in the world of battery top-ups.

Additionally, the YouTuber suggests that the phone will feature IP68 water resistance, which would be the first time a Xiaomi phone comes with an official water resistance rating.

Like the regular Xiaomi Mi 11, the Ultra is rumored to come with a Snapdragon 888 processor under the hood. It'll also feature a 6.67-inch WQHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

When Will the Mi 11 Ultra Be Announced?

Unfortunately, we don't know much about when Xiaomi will announce the phone officially. We also don't know if this leak is even legitimate. While everything looks consistent, there are plenty of convincing fakes out there. We'll have to wait and see.

If the phone does end up launching with the rumored specs, we'd expect it to be a fairly expensive phone (in the $1,000 or more range), but again, we'll have to wait and see.

After this was first posted, the original video from Tech Buff PH has been set to private, but there's a mirror of it embedded above.
