12月10日，因“口袋妖怪GO”的开发、运营等而闻名的Niantic，开始向AR开发者提供套件（AR DK）。这个面向开发者的工具包包含了平面检测、深度测量、遮挡检测功能、AR体验共享功能等。
niantic面向AR开发者的工具包具备了支持跨平台的API。同时支持iOS和Android，配备平面检测、环境光估计功能、对象的命中判定、画面检测功能等。另外还提供了可以在开发环境中进行调试的开发者工具“Virtual Studio”。
