世界最大的半导体制造商去年宣布与 ARM 达成了技术授权协议，将向第三方客户开放其生产线。现在，英特尔正在中国力推它的芯片代工业务。英特尔开放的芯片制程工艺包括 22 纳米、14 纳米、10 纳米等。英特尔副总裁、晶圆代工业务联席总经理 Zane Ball 表示，“中国是至关重要的代工市场。” 中国占有 58.5% 的半导体消费量，且保持快速的增长，但只有少数的公司有能力代工芯片业务，英特尔的加入，将带给生态伙伴更多选择。英特尔的代工业务则将瞄准两个细分市场，Zane Ball 表示，其一是网络基础设施，包括网络处理器、FPGA（可编程芯片）；其次是移动和物联网设备。
