在上周举行的 Nintendo Direct 2017 上，任天堂在其游戏机 Switch 上演示了腾讯开发的氪金手游《王者荣耀》，披露了双方的合作协议。三大主机厂商中的索尼和微软都在中国发布了各自的游戏机，但因为监管问题而无法提供多少游戏。消息人士透露，任天堂可能考虑通过与腾讯的合作拓展中国市场，在中国发售 Switch 及旗下游戏。任天堂曾希望在中国销售上一代的 Wii U 游戏机，但后来放弃了该计划。腾讯通过投资和收购，已经成为非常强势的游戏公司。
