科学家利用 CRISPR 重新绘制蝴蝶翅膀图案
康奈尔大学的科学家利用 CRISPR 技术将蝴蝶翅膀的老虎条纹图案变成重金属风格的黑银色。研究报告发表在 PNAS 期刊上。研究人员发现，名叫 optix 的基因控制了蝴蝶翅膀的图案，名叫 WntA 的基因在剔除之后则会产生更狂野的图案变化。这两个基因被称为画笔基因。研究人员利用 CRISPR 技术删除 WntA 基因，结果显示蝴蝶翅膀的红色部分变成了黑色。芝加哥大学的 Wei Zhang 发表了最早在蝴蝶身上进行基因编辑的论文，他认为蝴蝶可作为一种模型系统去研究基因编辑所带来的变化。
