中国第一封电子邮件发送三十周年
“越过长城，走向世界”，这是中国第一封电子邮件的内容，这封邮件写于 1987 年 9 月 14 日，于 9 月 20 日 20:55 发送出去，明天就是这封电子邮件发送三十周年。官媒发表文章纪念了这一历史，赞美了中国互联网的巨大进步，如果互联网是就是我们所熟知的互联网的话。报道称： 1987 年 9 月，中国第一个国际互联网电子邮件节点在中国兵器工业计算机应用技术研究所内建成，发送邮件的条件基本具备。1987 年 9 月 14 日晚上，开始在一台西门子 7760 大型机上测试电子邮件发送，西德卡尔斯鲁厄大学维尔纳 · 措恩教授询问中方人员写什么内容，于是就有了 “Across the Great Wall we can reach every corner in the world”（“越过长城，走向世界”）。但这封邮件并未顺利发出，而是被存储在系统内。9 月 20 日 20:55 才成功地发送到了卡尔斯鲁厄。
