I feel like I'll know every little thing about this phone by the time it gets here thanks to this sub haha

Almost ruining the surprise experience. Wait till the unboxing videos come out and I watch all 20+ of them, I'm going to end up opening my own box a month from now with little to no excitement other than finally using the device

PXL -> Blue Tint 2 XL² -> 2 -> P3 XL -> P4 XL -> P5 -> P6P

Yeah, I hadn't thought to do that at the VZW store. Good job!

Jeez that’s a beautiful phone.

I think so as well. I can't believe there are snobs complaining about the bezels. The slim side bezels make it better to hold without touching the display. The small top and bottom bezels has front speakers. How awesome is that?

Weird I haven't heard anything about this until now. Thanks for sharing!

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

I knew someone else was here to say this.

Except it's quite terrible if you're left-handed. I hold my phone in my left hand and use my index finger to push the power button.

Hopefully there's a way to go back to the original, or swap it to the other side of the screen.

I'm actually not sure that handedness correlates well with the hand you actually hold your phone in.

I'm right handed in all aspects of life, and I also hold my phone in my left hand (and push with my index finger), because I prefer to have my dominant hand free.

That said I can barely reach the current "power off" button with my thumb when using the phone one-handed on my standard Pixel. This is probably a 2-handed requirement even for right-handed phone holders.

Pixel XL -> 2 XL -> 2 XL -> 2

I guess I never really thought about it. I'm right handed, but use my phone equally with either hand. Doesn't bother me either way

I'm right handed but use my left hand for the phone more than my right. My first thought was, "I don't like it."

The button you pressed is on the right, so it makes sense that the on-screen interface would come up on the right, too. I'm saying this and I'm a leftie, too. (Full disclosure, I usually use my phone with my right hand)

I'm still really not sure how I feel about rounded screen edges.

Does it also have curved edges like the S7 edge, or am I seeing it wrong? That was the worst thing about that phone IMO.

level 2

Curved glass, flat screen.

Damnit why couldn't there be a 256GB version....

level 2

What do you keep on your phone!?

Really wanted to get a pixel but the headphone jack thing really bothers me. I've seen my wife replace a few converters for her iPhone or want to borrow my headphones and not have a converter with her. I really don't understand why they are doing this.

Went to play with it today. Good competition but, I'll keep my note 8. Unless someone else does it, Samsung won me over on the infinite display. It just feels weird to go without it now lol

Glad to see these subtle but necessary changes. Android keeps moving things forward.

Why does this have 27k views on YouTube?

level 1

Thats terrible, as a lefty there is no way I would be able to reach that.
