Hi,
I've read her about some performance/battery-life/heating issues that seem to appear with newer updates (ColorOS related?).
Will you recommend to NOT update the phone from it's original factory default release? Any other recommendations?

Well, my phone right now has a SOT of 5 to 6 hours. I am on the april 2023 update of RUI. I'm planning to switch to a custom rom(probably pixelos) when the bootloader unlocks, cause I have heard a lot of good things.
