Effectively my main stumbling point is RAM & Core requirements. It will be used almost solely for its Carplay capability and within that likely to use only 2 apps.. Waze & Spotify.

So with this in mind, what would you recommend as a suitable unit from a RAM & core perspective? I have somewhat written of the V1 as I would like wireless Carplay and this supports only wired.

With the V1 PRO options I would ideally like to go with the 2GBRAM/32GBROM as its nearly £40 cheaper however I'm concerned if will be up to the job of running Carplay and the two apps concurrently.

We cant just buy a Carplay dongle as the current factory radio is not compatible and I have mixed opinions on the Carplay standalone screen units that Bluetooth audio into your existing system as the current factory radio is unstable and often freezes.

Any advice is greatly appreciated! I look forward to becoming an active member of the community

Whatever you do, don't buy a V1 even you don't need the 4G option of the V1 Pro.
You will get much better support for V1 Pro here on XDA.

2GB RAM is not enough. You should spend the money and take 4GB.
