It is 1 hour to the contest, and there are already more than 10 solutions of B and C available on Youtube only. Now, imagine the level of cheating on other platforms like Telegram. It is very disheartening for (honest) beginners like me to see people getting good ranks because they cheat shamelessly. I may be wrong about this, so apologizing preemptively.

    +1

That's true. But don't look for ranking or rating like me. You should focus on building your logic in real. I was able to solve only 1st problem in today's contest. I tried for 2nd and 3rd but I couldn't solve. I had participated in more than 70 contests but still I am newbie, the reason is simple I never cheated. So just focus on problem solving skills, once you will be able to think logic and solve problems, your rating will increase rapidly. All the best.

Brother you are over — practicing low level problems, try doing problems above your level. I can see a lot of 800 rated problems solved majorly. Just an advice!

      • 5 hours ago, # ^ |

Of course I am doing that. I always solve above 100 or 200 rating problems but still because of cheating, I am not able to improve much in my rating and that's not an issue as I said I will definitely improve. I was saying that because of cheating its much difficult. Many people are solving C problems without even practicing 1400 or above problems.

        • 5 hours ago, # ^ |

          no, you're not improving.

what makes you think about this, like you only solve A.

a lot of my friends reached specialist, expert, or even candidate master in less than 6 month

you just don't want to improve

          • 4 hours ago, # ^ |

yes you are saying is correct

accroding to me one have to solve problem with rating 100-200 above his rating in practice to improve in the contest and also it is not advisable to solve more simpler problem than the current rating

There is also a solution to problem D which was posted 36 min ago! I mean it is just too much.

The only solution to such problems is to forget about rating, and think about CP as a brain sport, it's like you can go to the gym and just pretend to lift weight , but if you are true to it, you'll sooner or later end up with better muscles.

Rating is some kind of motivation, don't you think? Like, I agree with you and that's why I am gonna continue CF, but greed for a higher rating pushes you further, that's my take.

    • 10 hours ago, # ^ |

Absolutely true, but remember no coder ever became a LGM cheating, it is through failing, discovering and then improving the next time, since with cheaters the first two steps never happen, either they get stuck after a certain rating range , or are not able to pursue CP with passion. Cheating will only numb the brain , never allowing the "learning through adrenal rush" for which the contests are designed.

That's some positive thinking friend. Thanks btw :)

If anyone has even a little desire of cheating, he/she will find a way anyhow. Do you think because of my post, more people will cheat? NO. People who wanted to cheat have already cheated, they didn't need my POST.

    • 10 hours ago, # ^ |

Maybe. But after seeing this, especially the fact that problems C, D (with high points), are on YT, people who didn't cheat, would have a big desire to. Bro just look at it, Free C and D waiting for you.

How do you get to know about solutions posted on youtube I think you were also cheating.

  • 10 hours ago, # ^ |

I searched to see if people are cheating. Saw some videos and couldn't resist myself to show my frustration here. You have every right what u want to think, I can't change that. Cheers.

I think he was not cheating as he only submitted problem A

Wish there will be no more plagiarism problems (cheating) in contests. **UPD: ** I wonder why Codeforces does not do plagiarism check during a contest.

  • 2 hours ago, # ^ |

Why do plagiarism check during the contest if you can easily do it afterwards?

10 hours ago, # |

Why is the plagiarism checker not efficient enough to remove all such submissions?

get to the rating where cheaters cant solve problems which you can. ez af

  • 9 hours ago, # ^ |

According to the comments, solutions till D were posted within 40 mins of beginning. That's enough to get you 2300 rated perf in this contest.. which is a very high rating. In last div1+2 also, many high rated(Masters+) users bricked on C which was also uploaded online leading to huge amount of lower rated cheaters solving it and get equivalent ranks, so it surely affected many high rated users too. In my opinion, codeforces should just separate div1 and div2 contests permanently so that most cheaters can't possibly affect the experience of higher rated users and dissolve in the lower rated range. It's also been a long while since we had a real div1 too, they seem so rare now.

D is kinda too much(Although I dont think someone can reach 2300 by finding solutions online), but still, I feel like many people think that they cant get +delta because of cheaters and thats just 100% wrong.

I just searched on youtube and I didn't find any solution for a problem posted before the system test

6 hours ago, # |

Honestly, just think that this kind of people will just fall off once they need to do more problems to gain rating in contests and won't be able to do so because they cheated to get there. There is no efficient way to block this kind of user, so continue to train honestly and you will eventually surpass this sort of scum.

What's more, many students around me like to cooperate to solve the problems. For example, one solves ABC and the other one solve DE. It's kind of unfair because coding speed is also an important part in the contests which are not so difficult such as Div.2 .
