Several Problems w/ Safari

- I'm trying to make the switch to Safari or Orion (based on WebKit) as my main browser.
I have a problem with choppy videos in Safari and I've noticed that only on YouTube. Every solution I find (enabling and disabling VP9-related settings, deleting cache, booting into safe mode and so on, haven't yielded any success). This happens both using the built-in screen as well as the external monitor (LG 35BN75C-B 35'' UWQHD VA HDR Curved UltraWide).
What else can I try to solve this issue? - Speeding up videos (1.25x/1.5x... playback speed) makes the sound coming from the video sound echo-y. A Google search revealed that I'm not the only one experiencing this and since 2020 (the latest detailed info I found on the subject, there isn't any solution to this).
Has anyone managed to fix that?
Any help would be appreciated!
