1月9日消息，据知情人士透露， 西部数据已经重启与铠侠的谈判，该交易可能促使两家存储供应商合并，形成一股足以与三星抗衡的力量。
据了解，西部数据公司股价在过去一年下跌了51%，市值约为100亿美元。
随着电子消费市场的降温，对存储芯片的需求直线下降， 西部数据可能在2023年继续出现亏损。
而铠侠的前身是东芝存储，2018年被东芝公司以180亿美元的价格出售给由美国私募股权公司贝恩资本牵头的财团。
