Govt will make Draft Digital India Bill available for public consultation by month-end: Rajeev Chandrasekhar

The Minister stated that the Digital India Bill, which will replace the Information Technology (IT) Act, a 22-year-old one, will be a contemporary and modern piece of legislation.

Regarding the proposed Digital India Act, he claimed it will address concerns like non-personal data ownership and even data portability. It is also said the new framework is light on regulation.
