Cyber Monday is fast approaching and soundbar deals are already starting to drop. If you want to upgrade your home entertainment set-up, it's best to pay close attention to what's currently on offer. We'll tell you everything you need to know to get the best Cyber Monday soundbar deal possible. 

Many of the best soundbars are often available at their lowest ever prices with a Cyber Monday deal. For example, last year in the US, a Samsung HW-Q850A/ZA 5.1.2-Channel Soundbar with Dolby Atmos/DTS:X was reduced by $320 on Cyber Monday. Similarly, in the UK, the Sennheiser Ambeo 3D Soundbar was £400 cheaper than its recommended retail price.

Should you wait for a Cyber Monday soundbar deal? 

We expect official Cyber Monday soundbar deals to be available from November 26 - straight after Black Friday. However, many of these are likely to be a continuation of offers we saw on Black Friday - and possibly earlier in November. 

The current cost of living crisis means that many people are considering spreading their spending over a longer period this year. Retailers know this, and they also know it makes sense for them to stagger sales accordingly. Thanks to this, you may find an excellent soundbar deal that suits you before Cyber Monday. If this is the case, we think you should snap it while you can. 

That said, if you're looking for the greatest possible discount, then you may be better off waiting until Cyber Monday itself. This is because prices could fall rapidly and dramatically on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. 

According to a report from Adobe Analytics (opens in new tab), the average TV price hit a low on Black Friday last year. It then rose in price again at the start of December, before falling once more in mid-December. Of course, this data isn't directly about soundbars, but, soundbars usually follow the pricing of TVs very closely, because the two are (often literally) connected.

Overall, in 2022, we believe that soundbar prices will fall more rapidly than they did last year. However, prices will probably follow a similar pattern to last year, with lows experienced towards the end of November and again in mid-December. This doesn't mean that you have to wait until Cyber Monday or early December to buy a soundbar. But, it does mean that you can be patient. If you can't see the particular soundbar you'd like now at a great price, then there's a good chance it will be reduced on Cyber Monday or in early December.

When will the best Cyber Monday soundbar deals start in 2022?

This year, Cyber Monday is on November 28. But, we’ve seen some retailers begin to slash their prices on soundbars already. That said, the best deals are usually reserved for Thanksgiving week, starting on November 21 - certainly last year most major retailers began to roll out deals more furiously then. 

We're expecting the very best cheap soundbar deals to land on either Black Friday or Cyber Monday - although there are great deals available now. So, if you see a soundbar you like at a price that works, it might be better to snap it up rather than risk missing out entirely - we sometimes see fantastic early deals that don't come back. Either way, you'll find all the best Cyber Monday soundbar deals here as soon as they start.

What Cyber Monday soundbar deals do we expect to see in 2022?

Soundbar deals we expect to see this year fall into two categories: deals below $100/£100, and deals below $500/£500. 

In the below $100/£100 category, brands like Majority and Philips will compete to provide the lowest price. If you're just looking for a cheap soundbar that will improve your audio set-up, then you may be able to pick up a soundbar for as little as $50/£50. Slightly above this, brands like Samsung, LG and Sony will provide affordable soundbars with subwoofers for around $100/£100. 

If you're looking for something better than basic, then you'll need to shop in the second category. Here, there will likely be an interesting split. Great options from the likes of Yamaha, Sony and Samsung will likely become available for anywhere upwards of $250-£250. 

If you're searching for something even better, then you'll be pleased to know that we expect to see some Dolby Atmos soundbars to become available at around $750/£750 – Samsung, LG and Philips will probably be the hottest names here. Some of these may even be available for as little as $500/£500. 

This year, we also hope to see something very rare: discounts on Sonos soundbars. Don't expect big 40% discounts, but it looks like there will be some Sonos Black Friday deals and Sonos Cyber Monday deals this time.

Tips for buying a soundbar on Cyber Monday

What specs should I look for when buying a soundbar on Cyber Monday?

Whether you want to build your dream home cinema, or you're looking for a more reliable audio source to accompany your TV, choosing the best soundbar for you can be difficult. 

The newest and best TVs are getting slimmer and slimmer, which means there’s less room for built-in speakers. That's where soundbars come in, as they bring great audio to your new TV.

You’ll want to keep an eye out for features like Bluetooth, which enables easy wireless connection with compatible devices like your smartphone, tablet or PC. For audiophiles, you’ll need to pay attention to the quality of a soundbar’s subwoofers and tweeters, depending on the amount of bass or high frequency sound you’re after.

Then there’s Dolby Atmos. Considered amongst the best for soundbars on the market, Dolby Atmos creates a 3D audio space for stunningly realistic entertainment. The sound isn’t limited to channels either, so it can be positioned and moved precisely in a 3D field.

3 best soundbars to watch out for on Cyber Monday

This is a relatively new soundbar from Samsung, but it's already had a significant price cut to make it one of the best deals around. It gives you a soundbar, subwoofer and two rear speakers, creating a stunning dome of Dolby Atmos sound that nothing else matches for the price.

We hope to see it drop to about £700 in the UK, and around $999 in the US – for that price, it'll be an incredible upgrade.

This hits an excellent sweet spot for features compared to price: it uses Dolby Atmos for a very tall and wide soundscape with impressive positional audio. Plus, it features an HDMI passthrough port and has Bluetooth for streaming. 

It's another one that's lowered in price over time, but we'd expect another $50/£50 off its current $400/£300 price – it's an older model, and Sony has newer soundbars, so its in prime position to get a Cyber Monday push.

The Sonos Arc delivers excellently dynamic sound with reasonable bass in a single-unit, meaning no subwoofer or rear speakers (but you can add both from Sonos' range in the future, if you want). It supports Dolby Atmos and has upfiring and sidefiring speakers that deliver really immersive sound. Plus, its balance is excellent and it's the only one we've mentioned that's as good with music as it is with movies.

Traditionally, Sonos products don't get much of a discount – but right now we're seeing over $100/£100 off it, and these reductions could go higher on Cyber Monday.
