CryptoMode’s story [ read here ] on William Bill Siveter turning a rare Apple iPods collection into an estimated Million Dollars, drew the attention of many readers.   Not because of the money earned, but more-so for the ways the collector planned to use the money.   The Augusta, Georgia native wanted to make a sizable investment into cryptocurrency.

The crypto-coins Siveter wanted to buy back in June included Polygon, Ethereum, SHIB, and SafeHaven.  All of these have lost some of their value since then.   However, with the IPod King traveling, he’s not yet made his full leap.  And here’s an exclusive interview on what William’s doing and thinking of the digital currency space today, nearly 4 months later.

Where are you in the world today and are cryptos being used here??

William Bill Siveter:

I am currently traveling to Colombia.  And yes, cryptocurrency is in full motion here. There are apartments you can rent and houses you can buy with Bitcoin here.

There’s also a huge market of businessmen & women who wish to buy stable coins to store money.  The Colombian Pesos loses value against the dollar regularly and some like to hold USDT instead.  Some are willing to pay 5% to 10% to get cryptos.

#2:

This is why services like LocalBitcoin are thriving.   Stable coins definitely protect assets in countries that have currencies that go down, against the dollar. Have you done any transactions in Cryptocurrencies while in Colombia or other parts of South America William?

Siveter:

I’ve not done it myself but I helped someone send Cryptocurrencies to family in Venezuela.

It’s bound to happen however. I love Colombia and will be spending more time in the future.

#3:

Cross-border transfers is one of the top utilities of Cryptos. Places like Venezuela can definitely benefit.

Focusing back on you however, did you start the 6-figure investment into cryptos for your long-term plan as announced earlier?

Siveter:

No, not completely.  I’ve invested barely over 4 figures at this point.

I’ll invest more heavily after I finish my travels with my wife or when I believe Bitcoin and ETH have completely bottomed out.  The possibility of a world war and other market signs have swayed my thoughts a bit.

I’m going to start posting updates on my official Facebook page.

#4:

Do you think Bitcoin will hold up if the dollar crashes? Robert Kiyosaki thnks it will.

Siveter:

I’m far from an expert to call that.  I’m just playing off the little information I come across day to day, reading reddit and watching YouTubers like Larry Jones.

#5:

What coins have you invested 4 figures into since selling your iPod collection? And why any money at all if you feel unsure?

Siveter:

I’m sure cryptos will bounce back.  So I’m dollar cost averaging just to save money in the form of cryptos.

A sizable investment  will only be done if I can see a clear profit grab potential within 2 years of investment.  Or perhaps if I feel the dollar will crash and I want to store value in Bitcoin.  And then it will only be Bitcoin..

#6:

And what coins did you invest the 4 figures into?

Siveter:

I’ve bought Bitcoin and SHIB. I’m a SHIB multi-millionaire for sure! [laughing]

#7:

What makes you so eager with the Shiba Inu token?

Siveter:

Branding. Period.

I don’t think another token has the level of support from the average joe that Shiba Inu cryptocurrency has.    And as a person who studied marketing for over 7 years of my life, I know there’s always money in a brand that’s become this big.

I think any Web3 project can associate with SHIB’s audience and be successful. And because of this obvious opportunity, all Shiba Inu needs is 1 genius project to associate with their audience of Millions of Users,  making the token a cultural staple in the Americas, and the price will explode.

A broken clock is right 2 times a day.  SHIB Inu only needs to be right once and it can be forever grounded into the crypto, NFT, web3, or Metaverse spaces.

But this is just my opinion.  It’s all a gamble.

#8:

Indeed, everything is a gamble when it comes to business.

You mentioned earlier you rely on reddit and YouTubers for crypto news. Which sources are you watching?

Siveter:

I’m very attentive to reddit.  Subreddits like r/Crypcurrency, CryptoCoinOpps, EthereumTrading, ShibArmy, the DOGE community, and r/Solana.

There are lots of personal stories shared there that anyone can grow from.

YouTubers that I can remember the name of are….. Hmmm….  Larry Jones, Earn Your Leisure, and Coin Bureau.  There are others I watch but I can’t remember their names. I’m just subscribed and listen while I wash dishes or do chores.

#9:

Being that you’re  a huge fan of Apple iPods, would you buy a cryptocurrency made by Apple?  Would you invest in Apple Web3 and Metaverse projects?

Siveter:

I would undoubtedly want in on an Apple ICO or IDO.   As for the rest of those things, I would have to read about the project and make a decision then.

#10:

Are you holding your Cryptos in a cold wallet or  hot wallet?

Siveter:

Not your keys, not your coins.   Firm believer in this.   Cold wallets are the only way to go.

And as I’m mentioning this, people should look into Safe Haven’s Inheriti product .  SHA token will be the connection to people leaving behind Crypto-wills and digital currency inheritances.   Thats why im going to buy into the SHA token.

#11:

Interesting news indeed.  The Inheriti product is very interesting at a glance. You’ve made me take notice now.

Thanks for the interview Mr Siveter.

Siveter:

This has been a pleasure.   Hopefully I will have more positive news for the crypto world here in coming months.  I expect the Christmas season to create a new bounce back for the market. At least I hope.

Until then, I’ll be traveling and listening to music from my favorite Ipod.
