Howdy PH community! Coming to you live from one of Payload's satellite offices in Austin, TX....see what I did there?!

In brief, Payload is a modern media brand built from the ground up to chronicle a new age of space exploration and commercialization. Over the last year or so, we've battle-tested our model and iterated based off of early readers' feedback.

Today, we send out a daily newsletter about the business and policy of space, every Monday through Friday morning, to more than 11,000 of our best friends / readers. And we're always looking for new space cadets like you to join the club!

Our readership today is primarily space startup founders, aerospace industry execs, officials at NASA and other gov agencies, and aerospace & defense investors. But don't be dissuaded if that's not you...We've very deliberately tried to craft the reader experience and newsletter's voice, tone, and style to be welcoming to *anyone.* That means family and friends; people with a passing interest in the cosmos; students who hope to one day break into the industry; and *especially* those of you who are space-curious and looking to go deep into the rabbit hole.

New orbital outposts, robotic spacecraft servicers, satellite megaconstellations ... all that is standard fare in Payload. What we also bring to the table: original interviews, data-driven analysis pieces, occasional deep dives, beautiful visuals, a sleek newsletter design, and a personalized referral system for readers to unlock exclusive content and earn physical swag.

TL;DR - It's like a Morning Brew for space.

A bit about me - I'm Payload's managing editor, overseeing a writing team distributed across four time zones and two continents. That sounds like a lot but we're in fact a small, lean, mean fighting machine. Before Payload, I created and wrote Morning Brew's second product (hence the Brew reference above and my prior PH history). In my spare time I like to create memes and collect Crocs.

Join us on this journey, and don't hesitate to reach out to me ([email protected]) with questions or feedback!

To the Moon, and Mars, and the rest of the solar system, Ryan
