彭博科技记者马克·古尔曼9月25日表示，从苹果公司此前每3年为一个周期的规律来看，iPhone 12的设计延续至iPhone 14。在新的周期，lightning接口可能转为USB Type-C，此外借鉴Apple Watch Ultra的理念，iPhone 15系列可能用Ultra的命名取代Pro Max机型，但这可能需要较大幅度的改版。
