“中国天眼”FAST自2016年9月落成启用以来，为我国探索外太空做出了巨大贡献。
今日，据媒体报道，自2017年10月10日首次对外宣布发现脉冲星以来，截至目前，
被誉为“中国天眼”的500米口径球面射电望远镜已发现660余颗新脉冲星。
据了解，脉冲星是大质量恒星死亡后的残骸，是研究宇宙极端环境中物理规律的理想实验室。
“中国天眼”FAST是具有我国自主知识产权、世界最大单口径、最灵敏的射电望远镜， 能够接收到100多亿光年以外的电磁信号。
