Kogno is an open source framework written on the Ruby for developing conversational apps in messaging platforms like Messenger, WhatsApp and Telegram. (It's something like Rails but for chatbots)

I want to share with you this open-source framework I've created for developing chatbots in Ruby that it's based on the MVC pattern and strongly inspired in Ruby on Rails.

My main goal is to get Kogno adopted as an alternative for developing conversational applications, while also being able to create value-added services like tools for developers and enterprises in the website https://kogno.io website (Under construction yet)

If anyone finds this interesting and would like to contribute to develop, promote or back this project, please contact me.

You can test a flight search chatbot writing in Kogno in these platforms:

Thank you!

Great tool, but who is the target audience? Why wouldn't people just use python or java to build their chatbots like they are doing now? Not trying to discourage you guys, as this is a great and quite frankly very impressive product, just wondering.

@sidarth_nuthi Thank you.

The target audience are developers in general and since this framework was inspired in Rails, the developers who already worked in that framework developing web apps will find this very familiar at the time to developing chatbots.

I'm bringing this framework as a strong alternative for chatbot development, as you can read the documentation, you will see that the framework supports and at the same time unifies a wide variety of functionalities in each messaging platform.
