    Hi folks,

I noticed recently that we received more questions about Thunderbird through @FirefoxSupport Twitter account lately. However, we don't have contributor with more comperhensive TB knowledge on the Social Support, so I usually ask them to submit their question to the forum instead.

I was wondering, does anybody here who already familiar with Thunderbird wanted to be added to the Social Support program to help with Thunderbird question? We use another third party tool for the Social Support program called Conversocial, to enable contributors to be able to reply from the official account. To learn more about Social Support, you can read How to contribute to Social Support.

Please comment here or send me a PM if you're interested. Thanks!

Hi Kiki! I'm Thunderbird's Marketing Manager and act as the front line for our social comms. I'm wondering if the best course of action would simply be to "tag us in" on Twitter (@MozThunderbird).

That would effectively allow us to communicate with the user via the proper account, AND gradually get people accustomed to pinging us directly on Twitter. Or making them aware we exist ;-)

I would never turn down technical help, however. Just a stopgap solution...

That's one solution. However, only you and the TB staff have access to this account so that'd prevent any TB contributors to help on Twitter.

In the long term, I think it could be a good idea if the TB Twitter account is added to Conversocial so TB contributors could be invited to join it and help with the support questions on this platform.

Agree. Me as a long time thunderbird contributer (version 0.2) would love to help on the official thunderbird account in conversocial.

I think it would be good to have contributors help out with this (thank you Tim!) - a good opportunity to pool and grow the amazing support SUMO provides to Tb users.

@jevangelho I can do that for sure. I'm aware of the @MozThunderbird account, I just don't know if it's being used for support purposes as well.

Just to add on what Danny mentioned above. Conversocial is a third-party tool we use to allow contributors reply from our official handle on social media including Twitter and Google Play Store. That would be great if you're on board with the idea of adding @MozThunderbird account to Conversocial to allows other TB contributors reply to it directly, but that's totally up to your team.

@Tim I didn't know you're also a TB contributor. Would you mind if I assign the TB question to you in the meantime?
