Console status update - June 2022. Devtools jobs, blog tweaks, podcast season 3.
Status update - 2022-06

This is a monthly series reporting on how things are going at Console. This post looks at what happened in June.

Focus for June

I wrote last month:

The next few months will be focused on developing our hypothesis for the jobs product. This will include new profiles on the website and talking to devtools companies who are hiring to understand their needs better.

So how did we do?

Devtools jobs

We added Airplane to our company profiles, who were also a sponsor in the newsletter during June. However, most of our time was spent in product development as we successfully concluded our signup experiment and decided to proceed with the design and build of a real product.

This will continue over the summer with a planned initial release in September. We're writing blog posts about the build process, but they won't be released until the product is ready!

Blog tweaks

The design for this blog has also received some attention with tweaks to make it more consistent with the main website.

Console Podcast Season 3

Season 3 of the Console Devtools Podcast started on 9 June. We have 10 episodes coming out weekly where I interview interesting people working in and around devtools:

Focus for July

This will be a summer of building! There won't be much to report for now, but we intend to open things up as we launch the new product in September. In the meantime, expect normal service with the weekly newsletter!
