据中国探月工程官方消息，嫦娥四号任务“玉兔二号”月球车和着陆器分别于7月5日19时14分、7月6日6时整完成休眠设置，完成了第44月昼工作，进入第44月夜休眠。
截至目前， “玉兔二号”月球车在月球背面累计行驶里程1239.88米。
嫦娥四号已经取得了丰硕的研究成果，比如揭开了月球南极-艾肯盆地成分异常区的成因。
南极-艾肯盆地是月球上最大的撞击盆地，直径超过2400千米。研究南极-艾肯盆地对于揭示月球不对称性起源、撞击过程、早期演化过程以及深部物质成分具有重要意义。
