苹果知名爆料人Mark Gurman近日指出， 苹果正在开发面对专业市场的大屏幕iMac机型，并且将搭载M3系列芯片，可能是M3 Pro或M3 Max。
在Gurman对苹果产品路线图的预测中，并没有配备M2芯片的24英寸iMac， 他预计新款24英寸iMac将会首批搭载M3系列芯片。 此外，13英寸MacBook Air、新款15英寸MacBook Air，以及传说中的12英寸MacBook都会搭载该系列芯片。
Gurman此前表示，大尺寸的iMac“不会很快推出”，考虑到M3芯片的原因， 该产品可能要到2023年才会出现。
此外，该产品搭载的M3系列芯片预计将 基于台积电的3nm技术制造 ，对比采用5nm工艺的M1和M2芯片，在能效上会有更大的提升。
据了解，苹果在2021年3月停产了iMac Pro，并在2022年3月停产搭载Intel芯片的27寸iMac。目前在售的iMac型号仅有搭载M1芯片的24寸iMac这一款。
