为了追赶台积电，很显然三星也在努力的采购ASML的最新一代光刻机，而花费也是巨大的。
据韩国媒体报道称，三星电子和ASML就引进今年生产的EUV光刻机和明年推出高数值孔径极紫外光High-NA EUV光刻机达成采购协议。
High-NA EUV光刻机精密度更高、设计零件更多，是延续摩尔定律的关键，推动2nm以下制程，估计每台要价4亿美元。
ASML今年只能生产50台EUV设备，交货周期为1年6个月，ASML有限的生产能力和较长的交货时间正加剧各大晶圆代工厂订购 High-NA EUV光刻机的竞争。
