Development [ROM][12.1] crDroid 8 [OFFICIAL][MIUI Cam included]
Hopefully, neobuddy89 can fix it along with new 8.6 update. Sorry out of topic, that's a nice screen protector you have in there, perfectly fit to the front camera, and I assume it's a matte finish? Where did you buy it?
Yeah, hopefully, he can fix it on the next update. Fingers crossed!
As for the screen protector, it's a tempered glass from Supershieldz. I bought it on Amazon. Fits like a glove!

Like others here, at 1st boot I had a frozen screen with the crdroid logo. Had to reflash gapps for it to boot properly
Now all is working except from Play Store, which tells me I do not have connection (all other apps work well)
Any ideas?
Experienced this every time I dirty flashed. Search for Google Play Store APK and install it, after that it worked for me. But I had issues with other Google apps as well, so I clean flashed latest version.

Mic issues still present?

flash the Android MicFix, and you dont have to clean it.

Thanks. Clean flash is a pain, but I will do it, as this is not yet my daily driver (until I get it 100%)

You must go to the application information. Then go to the wifi and data option and allow network access.

This worked (after a system restart). Thanks!
I will now try the update to 8.6

I will now try the update to 8.6
Update: the migration from 8.5 to 8.6 went much smoother.
I did it through the updater within the OS
No hung in the crDroid logo (didn't have to re-install gapps)
Playstore works as expected.
I will continue testing. Thanks to the developers
I noticed that the icons in my Note 10 Pro look pixelated compared to a Oneplus 8T with same resolution.
Is it a setting that I have accidentally changed? Is it this ROM? Or is it the phone itself?

- there is a problem with touch and lag from the beginning. It is not the fault of the phone and the screen, but the software, because it worked super fast on the ArrowOs 11 ROM
- it is not possible to read the permissions of the Google application with the help of which side we can disconnect - connected applications
- after a few days the system catches the wakelock for no reason, and uses up the batteries extremely. Double rebooting only helps, but after another couple of days there is a wakelock
- App permissions disappear from time to time after restarting and need to be granted again. For example, it applies to the management of all files. (I wonder if that's not the wakelock problem here.)

Pixelization.

Nice observation, though a bit out of topic.
It's the phone, cheaper OLED, even with support of higher frame rates. It happens with other rom or original MIUI as well.

Thanks. I agree it was a bit out of topic, but I had a hope that there was a setting in this ROM I had missed. To be honest, I didn't notice it the little that I used stock.
Bummer, as the reviews were saying that the display is awesome...

It's awesome, for its price. I think we should keep our expectation with the device price range, don't we? Comparing with OP 8T, RN10P is certainly way out its league. Besides, I don't think human eyes will look at those icons in that zoom level.

It reminds me a bit of the energy-saving option you can find in the crdroid-settings. Its called "smart pixels" and just turns off a certain percentage of pixels.

You are right! It was that. It was enabled (probably my bad). It is much better now!
Thanks again

I am an owner of Redmi 10 pro, with a fresh custom OS installed (the latest CrDroid 8 based on A12). The OS includes a Miui cam which works pretty well. I also tested four or five GCam ports, starting from the latest Shamim V24. This one and PXv8.1_GCam-v1.2 work fine, except some quirks. Some others among the well regarded mods just did not install (Parrot) or, to my regret, show no image when installed (BSG, LMC).
I made some test shots with those ones which work, out of the box: Miui cam, Shamim V24 and PXv8.1. And I quickly acknowledged that the main cam renders nicely large close objects, but everything at distance of 7 meters and more is just a noisy mess, as if I was using a kind of digital zoom and not a quality front cam. I tested this in all the mentioned mods, and the result is always bad. Miui 108Mp mode gives better detail, but still unacceptable for such a large sensor. Did you try to make landscape shots with your front camera and what experience did you have with it?
Before unlocking the bootloader, I tested the native Miui cam, and the result was better: sharper and with more clear detail. So, is there is something wrong in the OS which does not let the camera work as it should, or need I a dedicated apk or a set of settings to fix that, or is the phone camera physically optimized to make detailed close-up shots while compromising far field?
In the next post I'll attach several crops to give a better idea I am terrified with.
1) default Miui cam settings, 2) default Shamim V24 settings, 3) 108Mp Miui cam mode.
Just to compare, here is a crop from a Moto Cam 2 installed on an old Moto G7 plus, with default settings. The shot is not the most detailed overall, but clearly keeps more natural image structure and could be better post-processed if necessary.
