The SwitchEasy MagPower 4-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand can wirelessly power up a MagSafe iPhone while also juicing up an Apple Watch, AirPods and more. And it even has a nightlight as a bonus.

Speaking of bonuses, the product is currently on sale for 20% off.

I’ve had the stand either on my desk or beside my bed for a couple weeks now. Here’s what it’s like in real-world use.

SwitchEasy MagPower 4-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand review

I carry all of Apple’s mobile devices – iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch – and at the end of the day they all need power. But I don’t plug any of them in. I place them on SwitchEasy’s MagPower stand on my bedside table, and they each start wirelessly taking in power. In the morning, I just pick them up and I’m ready to go.

There’s also a built-in light that points away from your eyes. If I need a bit of illumination in the middle of the night, I just tap the accessory’s base.

Or the stand can go on my desk, where it holds up my iPhone so I can see the screen during video calls and still keep charging all my gear.

The look of the SwitchEasy MagPower 4-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand is clearly designed to harmonize with Apple devices. There’s lots of white plastic and chrome.

It starts with a circular base that’s 5.4 inches across. There’s a shallow depression in this to power an AirPods wireless charging case.

A silver arm stretches up from the base to hold a MagSafe iPhone charger, with an Apple Watch wireless charger behind it.

Because the phone charger uses MagSafe, an iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 clings to it magnetically. The connection is solid – I can tap on the screen of my handset without risk of it slipping off. But a quick pull and it comes loose.

An Apple Watch magnetically clings to its charger, as well.

On the back of the accessory is a USB-A port that provides up to 5W. You can plug in other devices here, like an external battery.

Touch an icon on the base and a white nightlight turns on. The glow comes from the back of the chrome arm, so it points away from your eyes and is not blinding in a dark room. There are three brightness levels.

Decent iPhone charging speeds

Place your iPhone on the SwitchEasy MagPower 4-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand and it’ll receive up to 7.5W of power. That’s not 15W, the maximum possible when wirelessly charging an Apple handset, but it’s quick enough to be useful.

In my testing with a 6.1-inch iPhone 13, the battery level went up 23% to 25% in half an hour on the stand. The battery level went up 46% in a full hour.

As for the Apple Watch charger, it provides the same amount of juice as Apple’s own. You won’t notice a speed difference.

The base of SwitchEasy’s accessory can send 5W of power to an AirPods wireless charging case, the max the case can receive. For reference, it increased the battery level in my AirPods 3 case by 41% in half an hour.

And there’s more: My tests show this charging mat can juice up more than just AirPods. If you want to charge a second iPhone, lay it on this mat and it’ll get 5W. An external battery that supports Qi charging also got power this way.

SwitchEasy MagPower 4-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand final thoughts

Wireless charging is easier than plugging in a bunch of cables every day.

One of the things I like best about SwitchEasy’s stand is that it doesn’t take up much room on my desk or nightstand. Plus, I have a place to store and charge all my mobile devices without a bunch of cable clutter. The built-in lamp is a nice touch, too.

I wish it supported 15W iPhone charging, though.
