rip 400+ day streak

What's the name of this legend?

It's hard to get a long streak no matter what it's about, but calling him a legend is ridiculous.

He's simply padding stats. Only greys <1000 rating should have a 800-rated solves to contest ratio > 1. But he was over 1000 rating after the first 6 contests, and 800-solved/contests ratio is 4.

It's good that the streak was broken. Maybe it will free him from this bullshit.

    By that logic I'm gray

I used "should" because I think the only reasons someone would solve so many 800 rated problems are:

      • the problems are close to your rating
      • you want to pad stats / maintain a streak (I'm assuming you and OP are in this category)

And the second reason is frankly silly. I also did this once on another site just to get a stupid badge. It felt stupid and a waste of time. I won't do it again.

I find it easier to maintain CP skill by doing at least one problem every day, no matter how easy. Some days I just don't have time or energy for more than a Div2A or B. If I start skipping days I may lose my routine.

          really cool 374-day streak dude!

Whaaaaaat, BOJ badge doesn't mean anything? Sadge.

So what if he solves so many 800's? If it's fun for him, let him be. Also, as ivan100sic mentioned above, his streak is a good way of renewing CP skills.

And I would like to object that he is simply "padding stats". He's literally solved 123 2000's, 89 2100's, 72 2200's, 43 2300's, and 36 2400's, which most masters (including me) can't even compete with.
