Facebook考虑停止为新闻内容付费
财经网科技6月11日讯，据新浪科技消息，Meta Platforms旗下Facebook正在重新评估该公司为新闻内容付费的做法，此举可能会导致许多新闻机构共达数千万美元的收入来源受到影响。
资料显示，Facebook在2019年与各新闻出版商达成了为期三年的协议，这些协议将于今年到期。Facebook的参与被视为在广告收入和传统纸媒订阅量均下降之际提振新闻行业的一步。
知情人士透露，该公司平均每年向《华盛顿邮报》支付的费用超过1500万美元，向《纽约时报》支付的费用超过2000万美元，向《华尔街曰报》支付的费用超过1000万美元。
据悉，Facebook尚未向新闻出版商提供继续现有内容合作安排的计划。据一些知情人士透露，Facebook正考虑将投资从新闻转向吸引短视频制作者等创作者的产品。
