The Last of Us Part I Coming to PS5 on September 2, PC Version Soon to Follow

Leaked just a few hours before the Summer Games Fest live show, the remake of The Last of Us Part I has been confirmed by Naughty Dog. More importantly, the game will not only come to PlayStation 5, but PC too.

However, Naughty Dog only announced the release date for the PlayStation 5 version of the game, which is September 2. The PC version will be released soon afterwards, but an exact date will be announced closer to launch.

Initially released on PlayStation 3 back in 2013, The Last of Us has been remade from the ground up for PlayStation 5 and PC. Naughty Dog revealed that they’ve implemented modernized gameplay, improved controls, and expanded accessibility options. Also, effects, exploration, and combat have all been enhanced, the developer confirmed.

As far as the PS5 version goes, Naughty Dog added 3D Audio, haptics, and adaptive triggers. It’s also important to mention that this complete remake of The Last of Us Part I will also include the prequel story Left Behind.

Along with the trailer of the remake, Naughty Dog announced that players can now pre-order The Last of Us Part I for PS5. The game is available in multiple editions and the cheapest one is the Standard Edition, which costs $70 / €80.

The Last of Us Part I The Digital Deluxe will be available for $80 / €90 and includes an early unlock of the following in-game items: Increased Crafting Speed Skill, Increased Healing Speed Skill, 9mm Reload Speed Increase Upgrade, Rifle Clip Capacity Increase Upgrade, Explosive Arrows Gameplay Modifier, Dither Punk Filter, Speedrun Mode, and six weapon skins (Black Gold 9mm Pistol, Silver Filigree 9mm Pistol, Rubber Tactical Shotgun, Sculpted Oak Shotgun, Arctic White Bow, Carbon Black Bow).

Players who pre-order either of the two versions of The Last of Us Part I for PS5 will receive the following in-game items: Bonus Supplements to upgrade your skillset, Bonus Weapon Parts to upgrade your arsenal.
