Though the name of the learning journey states that it is about getting started with ABAP Programming on SAP BTP the content of this learning journey can also be used and run trough in on premise systems as of SAP S/4HANA 2020.

• Unit 1 – Unit 6 are about basic ABAP programming techniques
• Unit 7 deals with how business objects that are based on the ABAP RESTful Programming Model can be called via the so called Entity Manipulation Language (EML) which is the new lingua france to call business objects.
• Unit 8 finally walks you through building your own first business object using RAP.

Examples could be students that would like get a glimpse what ABAP is about or employees of companies that are using SAP but have not had the chance to get some ABAP knowledge.

My colleagues from SAP training department have managed to create an introduction into (clean) ABAP that lets new developers concentrate on modern ABAP language without forcing them to learn language constructs that are not recommended to be used anymore in modern ABAP.
