Matteo here, co-founder and CEO/CTO of React Bricks.

I started building the first prototype of React Bricks at the end of 2019 to have the CMS we needed, being a React-skilled web agency willing to abandon WordPress and looking for a great solution for both us and our customers.

🤔 Why React Bricks?

At that time developers were super-hyped with the rise of headless CMSs, but I could feel the pain of our customers, because the authoring experience of a headless CMS is very poor, as it is based on gray forms.

I wanted something easy as Wix, but with total control for developers.

💪 Let’s do it!

I started to think of my ideal CMS, I wrote the article "The shape of the CMS to come” and started creating. The first lock-down in Italy gave me some extra hours to work on the prototype and soon it started taking shape.

I imagined Wix, but with my own design. I imagined the full power of React components, but with the Visual editing "magic". I imagined WebFlow, but with just the controls I wanted my editors to touch.
