User experience and project managers should be comfortable with project management software, have empathy and be able to understand users and clients, well. They need software development/cloud/operating systems knowledge, graphical and visual tools, and UX design software mastery for wireframing and creating prototypes.

Ux designers and project managers lead the projects. Their work starts ahead of development. They need to understand the developers and designers, and their abilities, style of work, and personalities to help them to get to their full potential. So working in these roles needs more than software technological knowledge, it needs creativity, empathy, human behavioral knowledge, psychology, and the ability to find the big picture.

User and market research, finding the target audience, creating the user personas for the business, and testing are the other areas of UX and project management overlap.

Mastering these diverse skills is hard and time-consuming, but it is highly rewarding and fun.
