The company naming a new chief financial officer, John Rainey, who will assume those responsibilities on June 6th. He comes to Walmart from PayPal, where he currently serves as CFO. Rainey said, I'm excited and humbled to join such an iconic company at a time when the retail industry continues its transformation. As we see in afterhours, the stock in positive territory after ending in the red during the regular trading session. Now, this is coming as Walmart looks for new streams of revenue, as well as working on its fintech start-up that it launched last year.

PayPal Holdings Inc. on Tuesday said its chief financial officer, John Rainey, is leaving after nearly seven years for the same role at Walmart Inc. . Rainey will stay with PayPal until late May. PayPal's board approved the appointment of Gabrielle Rabinovitch, senior vice president, corporate finance and investor relations, as interim CFO upon Rainey's departure.
