Google 宣布为媒体高频率引用的搜索结果添加一个新的“高引用”标签。从本地新闻报道到采访、公告甚至是新闻稿，所有这些内容都将有资格在搜索结果的预览图像中添加这个新标签。搜索的“快速发展的主题”和“关于此结果”的通知中也会增加更多信息。搜索巨人希望高引用标签能帮助突出原始报道，这些报道中可能包含了在之后更广泛传播时被剥离的重要背景信息。但是查看新闻稿也应该会有所帮助，你可以直接从企业那里获取信息。Google 表示希望该标签能帮助读者找到“对一则新闻报道最有用或者最相关的信息”。它将“很快”出现在美国英语用户的移动设备上，并将在“未来几周内”开始在全球范围内亮相。
