Same here. A reboot usually fixes it. I assume it's some processes from some program keeping their connections alive. Sadly it still persists after quitting all apps, so I'm not sure how to solve this without a reboot. But it's annoying.
I am also seeing the same issue
with these happening...any ideas what causes them?

Do you also have excessive standby battery drain? I'm also having these logs but my 16" M1 Pro drains 1-2% in 24 hours while sleep.

These things boot up quickly.
Shut it down at night.
Then reboot the next morning.
You don't even have to press the power on button any more...

I ran a test of putting computer to sleep via closing the lid vs leaving the lid open and putting the computer to sleep. If I leave the lid open I get the drain, but if I close the lid I had 0 drain overnight.

No electricity plug around ?Hello!
I noticed a lot of logs during last night.
I close the lid at 00:10 and wake at 6:40 AM. MacBook loose ~50% energy.
I have the same issue on the MacBook Air M1 - it's a light sleeper, it wakes every 30 minutes
I've turned off all "wake from sleep" settings, turned off wake for network access, and so on - still doing it. It's also always "checking in" to the house when I get home, even though it's still in my backpack
I am looking for solutions to make sleep sleep again.
It's an insomniac!
Generally, when the lid is closed, I want the computer in sleep mode. Waking up instant when I open the lid. But staying asleep when the lid is closed.
I believe it's something to do with M1 devices behving more like phones, where they're constantly checking into all the networks.
Turning off Bluetooth might help, I am still experimenting.

On my istat menus. I can see that it wakes up every 15 mins i think. Just a brief moment that the graph records it. I'm using the 16" M1 Pro and 5-6 hours of sleeping didn't drop the percentage at all . But yeah . I have Bluetooth disabled and I don't have network time machine eitherI have the same issue on the MacBook Air M1 - it's a light sleeper, it wakes every 30 minutes

My 14" M1 Pro wakes up every 15 minutes when in sleep mode. I lost 7% battery overnight with all of this background activity. There must be some way to stop this? I recall there used to be a setting for something called "Power Nap" that could be disabled, but I no longer see that as an option anywhere in system preferences.
Attached is an image from iStat Menus showing wakeup every 15 minutes overnight. Any ideas on how to make the computer really sleep? I know I could just shut down, but I really like being able to pickup right where I left off...

Mine (16inch) woke up every 15 mins but it doesn't seem to drain it. Do you guys has some iPhone app installed? This apps could wake in background and do some things. I just removed one and will see.
No idea if this is remotely helpful but I find both my M1 Air and M1 Pro Pro burn energy if I put them to sleep on battery but leave an external monitor plugged in (via USB-C).
found any fixes?I am also seeing a lot of com.apple.dasd:501:com.apple.avatar.activity.UserRequestedBackup

I've long (i.e. since a 2013 MBP) experienced that even unplugged, the display needs to be shut for the computer not to wake at various times overnight. I don't know if my 14" MBP does it, as the habit has now stuck. If I don't want it to wake, display shut and power disconnected.

15 mins is normal. Mine is also the same. Tho my 16" didn't drop a percentage when I was sleeping it for about 6 hoursI always close the lid in sleep mode, it is still waking every 15 minutes.

Use Terminal command "sudo pmset schedule cancelall".

my M1 14" is waking up every 5 minutes and the battery will drain by 50% overnight, with the lid closed, which is ridiculous.
it's definitely related to networking; if i turn off wifi, it stops happening.
if i do what the top answer here says:
it does stop waking up and the battery does not drain. but the downside is that find my mac will no longer work unless someone opens the lid, i assume.
edit: it's not every 5min; it's more like every 2 minutes based on the logs. the machine is always warm while it is "sleeping". something's very wrong but i don't have the tools to really diagnose this. the log basically just says it's waking up to do the tcp keep alive, but the log also says it's scheduling future wakes for 1.5 hours in the future. the actual wake cause just says SMC outbox not empty with a cause of "btwifi".
interestingly it looks like what's happening is that every time it wakes up it schedules a new wake for 2 hours in the future, so eventually there is a huge pipeline of wake requests that occur every 1.5 minutes or so. i wonder if there is a way to purge these using pmset. they don't show up in the schedule... i think that's for user controlled schedules.

MacBook Pro 13 with Retina display consumes 10% battery overnight with the lid closed, is this normal?
I bought a MacBook Pro 13 Retina nearly a month ago. Talking to a friend he told me that is not normal for this pc to consume 10% battery over night with the lid closed and with "Power Nap" disable...

Then I throw down the glove in front of you.
Take "the Fishrrman challenge":
For the next three nights, SHUT DOWN the MBP -- all the way off.
Restart it in the morning (starts as soon as you open the lid, right)?
Then... go check the power drainage "over the night".
How does this do for you, vis-a-vis what you're doing now...?
Or... just shut off wifi each night (although you'll grumble each morning, wondering why you're not connected, and then remember to turn it back on!)

On Monterey, I believe you will find these settings in System Preferences -> Battery -> Power Adapter pane. You might also wish to visit the Battery and Schedule panes to further optimize your battery usage.where are the wake from sleep settings?
