《Forspoken》是由Square Enix开发的冒险游戏，预计会在2022年春夏之际发售。在今年的GDC 2022上，负责游戏开发的Luminous Production工作室就展示了即将推出的PC版，其中大量使用了AMD的FidelityFX技术提升图像质量，以及利用微软最新的DirectStorage API，以提升NVMe SSD的性能表现，缩短游戏的加载时间。

在GDC 2022现场中，Luminous Production工作室和AMD工程师介绍了《Forspoken》所支持的各项图形技术，包括屏幕空间环境光遮蔽（SSAO）、屏幕空间反射（SSR）、光线追踪阴影（RTS）、FidelityFX 超级分辨率（FSR）等。随后，Luminous Production工作室放出了应用微软DirectStorage技术的游戏实景演示。

值得一提的是，《Forspoken》是第一款采用DirectStorage技术的PC游戏。该技术必须用到NVMe SSD来存储和运行游戏，目前已用在Xbox Series X/S上，新一代储存技术受到了众多玩家的好评。DirectStorage让NVMe SSD绕过CPU和内存，直接向显存传输数据，可大幅降低游戏加载的时间，并解决一些材质加载错误的问题，理论上采用了该技术的游戏可以做到场景的无缝接合。

一般来说，由于Xbox Series X/S已经支持DirectStorage技术，当游戏移植到PC的时候，相关优化工作可以更好地展开。不过有趣的是，《Forspoken》不会出现在Xbox Series X/S，只有PlayStation 5和PC版，因此DirectStorage技术是专门针对PC版做的优化。
