Can no longer view websites on smart display
I've had my lenovo smart display for over two years and have always been able to visit websites, usually when searching for recipes or random google searches.  However, this morning I got this error message :
"Can't be shown.  Websites are turned off for this device.  Learn more: g.co/assistant/web-filter'.
The link doesn't work.   I tried going into the google home app to update the digital well being settings but there is no option to re-enable websites like it was before.
We do not agree with this update.
Anyone know how to restore this seemingly minor yet important feature?
thanks!

Re:Lenovo Smart Device websites don't with
I opened my cookbook and when I wanted to view on website I got the message : websites are turned off for this device. I have been searching all day I find no answers.  I even asked a computer tech who advised me to reboot the and redo my device.  I went to my internet security and it is not a problem with them.  I hope we find a solution soon. If you find one please post.

same here. I wrote on lenovo forum website but no answer yet.
That randomly happened to me yesterday too. Then, again randomly, it was working fine this morning and into the afternoon. And once again this evening, it randomly started again. I've gone into my home app and allow websites is checked. I checked block websites then rechecked allow, but that didn't work.

Hi all,
Seems that link is wrong, it should be https://g.co/assistant/webfilter (no dash). I'll report that to the Google Assistant team. It takes you here:
It looks as though this could be caused by Digital Wellbeing settings? I also noted your display blocks the web by default if a child’s account is linked to it but you can choose to override that in the Digital Wellbeing settings?
@Spencer Banks
You mentioned already checking those settings and you're still periodically seeing this? Is it a particular website that causes it or all websites?
Tried that already and again. Despite fiddling with digital wellbeing for website access still not working. No child account linked.
Happening to me today as well. I checked my digital well-being settings, there are no filters applied to this device.
I notice that on my Google Nest Hub, I can click on web links and access websites without any problem. This issue only seems to exist on my Lenovo Smart Display. So, I imagine it is an issue between Lenovo and Google. Historically, Lenovo has been unresponsive to my complaints.

This is a horrible new change made by Google, if you have a Lenovo. I guess Google is trying to discourage use of other smart displays:
"Important: Access to the web isn’t supported on Smart Displays made by manufacturers other than Google"
I saw that too! I have Lenovo and was told it is google that is causing it. I did everything to try to fix it. I did factory reset. I deleted and reloaded the home app. I finally gave up. I am using my echo for web sites now. Very disappointing as I have two not working right. Google needs to roll back its update.
I guess that Lenovo is dead. I'm using my Echo for websites now
