In this episode, Dave chats with Kevin Lappe, Research Product Manager at Amazon Web Services. Kevin owns a unique space within AWS Developer Tools where his team thinks about the developer tool chain, and what AWS can build for developers in 2023 in beyond. This research combines quantitative data, usability testing, observation, and anecdotes to bridge the gap between engineering teams and customer feedback. Along the way, Kevin discusses breaking down the tasks developers need to go through (over 65 have shown up in research so far) from idea to production, and how AWS hopes to simplify the process.
