11月9日，湖口县林业局联合省鄱阳湖保护区管理局湖口监测站巡湖中发现，有上万只小天鹅、白琵鹭、白额雁、鸬鹚等越冬候鸟集结在境内南北港内湖北港湖水域及滩涂上栖息，出现万鸟翔集的壮观场面，它们时而展翅嬉戏，时而沐浴阳光，时而踱步觅食，构成冬日里一道最靓丽的风景。
