Introduce yourself! What's your XDA story?
Hi ,
I have been rummaging through the forum off and on , and have always been amazed with your level of competence and commitment . The topics are diverse and sometimes feels like maneuvering through a maze . But if it is worth knowing , you can find just about anything out here. I am not much of a techie , but curiousity gets the better of me , and I keep coming here to get enlightened. Cheers and keep it going ....

Hi let's introduce,
I am intersting by computer since college (1995). I don't like black box, so I started to get interested in custom ROM on smartphone. I also don't like to be a product . I like to keep control.
I managed to install 2x LOS by myself only by reading you people. Today I created a profile, because I am stuck on my third device . I am helping friends and family to re new old smartphone. It is quiet a success, to see how people see how there smartphone they thought dead, can still be so useful. After this HTC I will go threw a Samsung for a neighboor.

Intros on XDA, thats a new take on chat-room awkwardness. Life-long math nerd turned tech guru/enthusiast. Spend the summers commercial fishing in Alaska and the subsequent winters reading forums and thinking what can be accomplished with the devices at hand! #nerdiam

Well not really sure we're to begin except , the only reason why I joined am posting this is I'm using a moto E5 cruise ver James. I've read on here that u can root . well that's just awesome but when running the commands given by moto just to see if my phone can be unlocked I can't get the five line command string to work I use /adb devices connected in fastboot , enter the command for me to get five line comm string together and here I am still not working please help

Hello everybody,
I'm French and I only use GNU/Linux since 2004 for client and server. I don't remember when I discovered CyanogenMod but it was a revelation for my mobile Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro (U20i)
Since then, I have been using CyanogenMod, LineageOS and others ROM for my mobile. I actually choose my mobile based on the available and active ROM
I am here to continue to advance projects around alternative to stock ROM, share my experience on some devices and improve my English.
A big thank you to all the people who participate in this forum!

Former airline employee with 35 years experience.
My phone issue is a Moto G4 plus, that recently has had problems.
I've bought another Motorola G10, but would still like to resurrect the above : )

Hi everyone.
I have beven using xda for several years. my first smart phone was the HTC touch pro. Had lots of fun hacking and taking that old slider.
I have also rooted a LG devices over the years. I recently ordered the Pixel 6 pro from Spectrum mobile. It should arrive in a couple days. I am anxious to see if I can use the guides here to achieve root on my new phone.
