Microsoft Surface Go 3 Hardware Specifications Leaked

The device could be announced at the September 22 event

Microsoft is working on a major refresh for several Surface models, and as it turns out, the Surface Go is one of these devices projected to get a welcome hardware upgrade.

While the Redmond-based software giant has remained completely tight-lipped on everything related to what’s coming on the Surface front, it’s believed the Surface Go 3 is just around the corner, possibly to see the daylight as soon as this month.

Tech specs published by WinFuture are said to provide us with an early look at the new Surface Go, and if they are accurate, then the upcoming model is getting a series of very useful upgrades.

For example, while the 10.5-inch display will remain unchanged, the processor will most likely be upgraded, with Microsoft to go for an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y instead of the 4425Y used on the current model. Needless to say, this is likely to come with a noticeable performance boost, with the processor to be paired with 4GB of RAM.

Launch later this month

The second version of the Surface Go 3 is the Intel Core i3-10100Y, though this time, it’s paired with 8GB of RAM. So in theory, those who want to unlock the full Windows power should clearly go for the Intel i3 version, as it’s supported by Windows 11 as well.

Most likely, Microsoft will take the wraps off the new Surface Go 3 at the upcoming September 22 event when the company is also expected to unveil the Surface Pro 8 and the Surface Duo 2.

If the timing information is accurate, then all these devices should go on sale in October, so if you are waiting to get a new Surface Go, then you should be able to get your hands on the upgraded model in approximately one month, at least in the United States.
