8 月 29 日，在第 35 届全国青少年科技创新大赛上，中国工程院院士、运载火箭与航天技术专家龙乐豪披露，中国将在 2030 年前后通过两次火箭发射，实现 2 名航天员登陆月球的目标。据龙乐豪演讲介绍，中国计划使用长征五号运载火箭改进型，来执行载人登月发射任务。他还披露了载人登月的过程，包括：第一枚 CZ-5DY 火箭发射月球着陆器，完成地月转移并进入环月轨道；第二枚 CZ-5DY 火箭发射新一代载人飞船，完成地月转移并进入环月轨道；着陆器和飞船在环月轨道实现交会对接；2 名航天员从飞船转移到着陆器；船器分离，着陆器实现月面软着陆；2 名航天员在月球表面工作 6 个小时；上升器从月球起飞进入环月轨道；上升器与飞船对接；2 名航天员返回飞船；上升器与飞船分离；飞船完成地月转移，进入近地轨道；飞船返回舱分离并返回地球。
