今年五月，美国电信巨头 Verizon 宣布以 50 亿美元将雅虎和 AOL 出售给私募股权公司 Apollo Global Management。Verizon 是在 2015 年以 44 亿美元收购 AOL，在 2017 年以 45 亿美元收购雅虎的互联网资产。它收购的这些媒体资产减计超过 40 亿美元。现在，雅虎和 AOL 组成的新公司被命名为雅虎，将独立运营，CEO 为 Guru Gowrappan，他表示期待雅虎作为企业和品牌能在未来几个月带来新的增长和创新。
