有传闻称，腾讯的风险投资部门 Image Frame Investment或将参与英国手部追踪与触觉反馈技术公司Ultraleap的D轮融资，以深化自己的AR投资组合，投资金额为5000万美元。
此前，腾讯已从 Snapchat 母公司 Snap, Inc. 手中大举购买股票，并参与了 Epic Games 和 Meta 公司（后者之前也与 Ultrahaptics 合作）的融资。此外，腾讯还通过腾讯支持的视频创业公司快手间接投资了 Nreal，参与了智能眼镜创业公司的一轮融资。
作为AR领域的战略投资者，腾讯几乎和谷歌一样多产，谷歌已投资了 Magic Leap、Niantic、Ubiquity6、Mojo Vision、CTRL-Labs、Blue Vision 和 Resolution Games。
同样，苹果对 II-IV 和康宁等公司进行了几笔大的投资，这些公司不仅为他们提供 iPhone 组件，还为 AR 可穿戴设备提供解决方案。
与谷歌和苹果一样，腾讯很可能在通过创建和提供AR内容的软件、作为AR体验和交互渠道的硬件来预测AR的未来增长潜力。他们对 AR 技术未来的既得利益者推动行业走向成熟，成为下一个计算范式至关重要。
