谷歌将铺设新海底电缆 连接美国与拉美
Firmina将为南美用户提供更好的谷歌服务，让用户快速低延时接入谷歌产品，比如搜索、Gmail、YouTube和谷歌云服务。
6月9日，谷歌表示，将会铺设一条海底电缆，将美国、巴西、乌拉圭、阿根廷连起来，增强这些地区之间的互联网连接。
这条海底电缆名叫Firmina，它将是世界最长的海底电缆，从美国东海岸通往阿根廷Las Toninas，然后还会连接到巴西普拉亚格兰德（Praia Grande）和乌拉圭Punta del Este。
谷歌在声明中表示：“Firmina将为南美用户提供更好的谷歌服务。海底电缆有12对光纤，可以让北美到南美的传输更快更安全，让用户快速低延时接入谷歌产品，比如搜索、Gmail、YouTube和谷歌云服务。
